May 25, 2011 – Fifth Grade Jewish Heritage Museum

Fifth grade students presented an exhibit of family artifacts. Through interviews and research each student learned the history of their selected artifact and their family’s journey to this country. View pictures

 

May 24, 2011 – Fifth Grade Mission to Space

Fifth grade students took a trip to the Buehler Challenger and Science Center where they participated in a simulation of a Challenger space mission. Students took different jobs in both the shuttle and mission control. View pictures

 

May 22, 2011 – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

The Middle School treated an overflowing crowd of family and friends to a presentation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Students sang, danced and showed off their theatrical skills in SSDSRV’s first theater production. View pictures

 

May 11, 2011 – Third Graders Visit Sterling Mine and Museum

The third graders spent a terrific day at the Sterling Hill Mine and Museum. They were given a tour of the mine, searched for different types of rocks, participated in a scavenger hunt and visited the museum. View pictures

 

May 10, 2011 – Yom HaAtzmaut Celebration

Students celebrated the 63rd birthday of the State of Israel with song, dance and a viewing of the Third Grade’s Israel Cities Exhibit. View pictures

 

May 6, 2011 – L’dor VaDor/Grandparents and Special Friends Day

Grandparents and special friends were welcomed to a wonderful inter-generational program. They were treated to beautiful singing by our kindergarteners, as well as a performance by our Israeli dance troupe. Our guests also had a chance to share in joyful learning as they visited the classrooms. View pictures
