April 3, 2011 – Led by Morah Vera Galleid, the Tziporim, the Israeli Dance troupe of SSDSRV, performed at the 60thAnnual Israel Folk Dance Festival in NYC. This year’s troupe is comprised of 3rd through 6th grade students. Their performance was “Shalom Africa,” a suite of dances that combined Israeli dance with the music and rhythms of Africa. April 6, 2011 – E2K is a program devised by the Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE) together with theIsrael Center for Excellence through Education. The program, which includes numerous schools in countries throughout the world offers stimulating research projects, mind-bending math problems puzzles, and other challenges. View pictures

April 10, 2011 – Father (Special Man)/Daughter Dinner Dance, this special evening was filled with food, fun and laughter as fathers and daughters danced the night away at the annual Father/Special Man Daughter Dinner Dance. View pictures

April 13, 2011 – Pesach activities
Students in grades K-8 participated in a variety of activities to prepare for Pesach. From plays to creative study sessions on Pesach and the Seder, to family learning, students worked together to deepen their understanding of the holiday. The activities culminated in a school wide Biur Hametz (burning of the hametz) program. View pictures
