Our fourth graders travelled back in time when they visited NYC’s Yeshiva University Museum and took on the identity of traders. They each were given an occupation, told whether they could read or write, were Jewish or not and then they traded their goods for the goods of their fellow traders. They learned about life in the time of Rashi and had a geography lesson as well. What a nice complement to their learning Rashi back in their present day classrooms!
